HARLOW DOGS
It was a cold night when we set out for the track at Harlow. With excitment in our hearts we watched from the windows of the minibus, expecting snow at any time. We reached our destination without incident only minutes from the first race. It was decision time, to put a bet on, or to get a drink.

| It didn't really matter as there were no queues. Having whetted your imagination for the night, I regret that no millionaires were made. There were winners but I think mainly losers (well nobody owned up to being a big winner). | ![]() |
Race nine was The Thurrock Stakes named in our honour, the winning dog being Long Island Liam. A few of us went out to the track, watching a flurry of snow on the track, to present the winning owners with their trophy.

However we all enjoyed the night although the last race was at 10:30pm and we had to get home. Most were talking of going again when it wasn't so cold.
